We are often asked "where do we buy our Land Rovers from?" and also "Who buys our Land Rovers?" - so below are some of our monthly highlights. Please feel free to bookmark this page and come back from time to time to see what we are up to and what is "new" |
Thursday 1st September
OBT 978G - the 1968 Series IIA sold in July, is now ready and needs to be loaded onto the truck that will be transporting it to Austria.
A big "Thank you" to Nigel of Turner Brothers for coming to the rescue, when the truck that was sent to collect the Land Rover did not have loading ramps.
Friday 2nd September
MJE 352 the very original 1961 SWB Series II Land Rover that arrived in July, has been purchased by Steve, from North Wales. Preparation will include conversion to a Hard top, with a rare "top hat" style top tailgate, the fitting of a capstan winch, and "Rocky Mountain" overdrive unit.
Saturday 3rd September
This 1998 300 TDi 90 Defender, was sourced by us for "Joy Mining Machinery".
It will be going 1000ft underground at Cleveland Potash Ltd potash mine, and will be used by Joy Mining to show potential clients their machinery in action at the mine.
We have spent the last few weeks preparing it for it's trip underground, including new cam belt, new fuel tank, all new brakes etc.
Tuesday 6th September
Although our buyers travel all over the UK, it is nice when we find Land Rovers locally. That was the case this evening. OWX 955 was purchased from a local dealer 56 years ago, and has been with the same family since. Unfortunately time has come for them to pass the Land Rover on.
We will be collecting the Land Rover in a week or so, and will be able to give potential buyers a more informative assessment.
Although it has not been used for 8 or 9 years, I think this will be an easy project for someone - and it includes lots of original paperwork - Including the Old "Buff" log book, and 2 books of Petrol ration Vouchers !

A busy day at the Land Rover Centre . . .
An early morning start for one of our buyers, who travelled to Oakham in Leicestershire to collect a very original 1958 Series II Hard Top - with rare "top hat" type tailgate.
UMR 517J The 1971 Series IIA is delivered to Liverpool docks, on the first leg of it's journey to Derek in St Louis, Missouri
The delivery to Liverpool docks coincides with the collection of Two Land Rovers that we have just imported back from America.
PNW 242C is a 1965 Left Hand Drive 109" 5 door station wagon - This Land Rover was rebuilt by Land Rover Centre for Peter in Baltimore and exported in 2001
NNW 775A is a 1954 Series I - 86" - This Land Rover is affectionately known as "Heartbeat" as it featured in the early episodes of the TV series. This was purchased by Peter in 2003, and since then it has undergone a meticulous ground up restoration.
Peter is now retiring to France, and so both Land Rovers were surplus to requirements.
